When I can hear the first song
From these birds
In the tree outside my window
A new dawns begins
In my heart
This fog on the fields beyond
Dew drops from the leaves
Of the branches
The trees still majestic and good
First light
Kindness
Truth
Admittedly – I’m a little bit afraid now and then, a worry time in the night.
But I see the sunrise and know
It’s time
The goodness arrives…
Again and again
I have enough
A million thanks
For the touch of the sun – bright, shiny
Warmth
And the sight of a clear blue sky
Mountains and trees
Water, fishes, gentleness
Our gardens, the breeze
Bird song
Flight
All of nature
Always
Steadfast strength of the Self
Home
Glorious friends
Beautiful family – we are all one
Kind thought. Kind deed.
In health and awe
Treasure
Of this time
My dad and I are having lunch in a bar/restaurant – sort of looks like a country club in Florida (big, sunny windows – a simple place). It’s a glorious time – him and me in a place we love.
The waiter brings a drink for dad, explaining that it came from a friend of his sitting at the bar. Dad gets up, walks over to greet his friend, shakes hands with him, has a good laugh, turns to come back over to our table. There’s a small step down. He steps down. Begins to fall. I think, “oh no, he’s falling…not again,” something to that effect. He falls. Then disintegrates – poof! He’s gone.
I wake up.
All is as it should be, I know. All love
A million thanks
For the touch of the sun – bright, shiny
Warmth
And the sight of a clear blue sky
Mountains and trees
Water, fishes, gentleness
Our gardens, the breeze
Bird song
Flight
All of nature
Always
Steadfast strength of the Self
Home
Glorious friends
Beautiful family – we are all one
Kind thought. Kind deed.
In health and awe
Treasure
Of this time
While the light of this single candle
Shines
I watch the flight
Of hummingbirds –
Hovering – flitting – testing
Settling
For a moment
New energy
Sweeping away – zing!
They’re gone from view
Into the backdrop of dawn
Silhouette of mountains and sky
But the candle remains a beautiful light
Love to this day, what was, what is
New dawn
Flowers of time
Thankfulness for now
