Candlelight flight

While the light of this single candle
Shines
I watch the flight
Of hummingbirds –
Hovering – flitting – testing
Settling
For a moment
New energy
Sweeping away – zing!
They’re gone from view
Into the backdrop of dawn
Silhouette of mountains and sky

But the candle remains a beautiful light

Love to this day, what was, what is

New dawn

Flowers of time

Thankfulness for now
